Colorado's Human Life Amendment Signatures Certified

—Historic Measure (that includes protection of every person from the time of fertilization) Officially on November's Ballot
Kristi Burton (May 31, 2008)

"This victory is the voice of the people and all credit goes to our Creator"

Colorado for Equal Rights(Denver, CO)—For the first time in US history, the issue of personhood will be decided in the public forum by a constitutional amendment. Colorado for Equal Rights has been notified by the Colorado Secretary of State's Office that enough valid signatures were submitted to put the Every Human is a Person amendment on the November 2008 ballot. The Secretary of State's Office's random sampling indicated that there were 103,377 valid signatures, surpassing the 76,047 valid signatures that were required.

"The people of Colorado have spoken, the Secretary of State's Office has certified our signatures, and our equal rights amendment will be on November's ballot," stated Kristi Burton, initiative sponsor. "All humans should be protected by love and by law, and this amendment is an historic effort to ensure equal rights for every person."

Colorado for Equal Rights has demonstrated an unparalleled grassroots effort thus far, with likely more volunteer circulators than any other ballot initiative in the State's history. The grassroots initiative had over 1,300 volunteer petition circulators.

Colorado for Equal Rights is a statewide grassroots organization of concerned citizens who value human life. Colorado for Equal Rights is sponsoring the Human Life Amendment to the Colorado constitution, stating "the term 'Person' or 'Persons' shall include any human from the time of fertilization."

The Call DC: August 16th...More than an historical event!

TheCall DC 2000 was the corresponding prayer & fasting event for young people... to the Promise Keepers men's event on the Washington Mall in 1997!

TheCall DC 2008 event is ac
tually a multi-generational meeting and will be the fulfillment of a dream!!!

I was there with men of my church at that '97 PK event.

We looked a
t the day as an Historic Happening...a day of reconsecration & hope for fathers heart's to become realigned with our Heavenly Fathers heart. Looking back there was much excitement of an historic event... a million men of differing nationalities & denominations... rather than a day to rend our hearts! However, I believe the prayers & worship & commitment that was birthed there may have saved our nation more than any of us may realize at this time!

There have been many Call prayer events throughout this and other nations... but they have been leading up to this prophetic moment.
I ask with others ... "Can a Nation be changed in one day"?

Please consider being on The Mall on August 16!
Not for an historic event... but to join a company crying out for our nation to return to the Lord, the ending of abortion & godly government & for historical revival to come our nation!!! ~Glenn

War Bill Supplements Planned Parenthood

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has a funny way of expressing his appreciation for our troops this Memorial Day. Rather than honoring our soldiers with the funding they need, the Senate is stuffing the war supplemental bill with pro-abortion paybacks for groups like Planned Parenthood. By fattening up the legislation with controversial earmarks, the leadership has not only jeopardized the timetable for the bill's passage but raised the possibility that it will not pass at all. Despite the urgent needs of our servicemen, Reid and his liberal allies are more concerned about funding the war against the unborn than the war in Iraq. The bill is rolling in pork, including a provision that would give groups like Planned Parenthood a big discount on contraceptives and Plan B, which can act as an abortifacient. It would also be a massive cash cow for university health centers, which would also be eligible for a discount on such drugs. Keep in mind that these clinics already make profits on the pills when they mark them up for resale. Nor are many of the recipients suffering in the financial department, thanks to a hefty investment of your hard-earned tax dollars. So the $165 billion question is: What does any of this have to do with Iraq? Absolutely nothing. Reid's personal political agenda is exposing our active-duty troops to new risks as they wait on Congress to duke out the abortion provisions. The bill is bloated with millions of dollars in other unnecessary pet projects for infrastructure, health care, NASA, and more. Until Democrats put their anti-war vendetta aside and both parties rein in spending, the supplemental faces failure on the floor or due to the President's veto pen. Contact your Senators today and remind them that this is no time to make a political statement. Now is the time to support our troops!

God, We pray that such mockery of the governmental entrustment of funds would be cut off from those who waste government time, money & legislation on their own projects rather than intended legislation! Amen!~Glenn

McCain Courts Judicial Conservatives

Visiting Wake Forest University today, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) delivered a pointed speech about the disarray of U.S. courts and the type of judicial nominees he would support if elected President. Affirming his intent to nominate strict constructionists, McCain told the crowd that "...the duties and boundaries of the Constitution are not just a set of helpful suggestions. They are not just guidelines to be observed when it's convenient and loosely interpreted when it isn't." Frustrated by the "presumption" of federal judges to resolve policy questions "that should be decided democratically," McCain pledged to nominate judges in the mold of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and Chief Justice John Roberts. "In federal and state courts... there are still men and women who understand the proper role of our judiciary. And I intend to find them and promote them... My nominees will understand that there are clear limits to the scope of judicial power," McCain said. He criticized his colleagues in the Senate for making time to pass exorbitant earmarks but relegating judicial nomination hearings to the bottom of their to-do lists. ...

Gov. Blunt Answers the Call to Protect Life

It is good to follow Minnesota's lead! ~ Well done Gov. Blunt~Glenn

In Missouri, saving unborn babies could be just a phone call away. Under Gov. Matt Blunt's (R) direction, the state is implementing a new program that promotes abortion alternatives by a revolutionary new hotline. The toll-free number, 1-800-AID-U-171, instantly connects expectant moms with a menu of services, including medical care, housing, child care, substance abuse treatment, job training, parenting classes, and education options. "I believe we have an obligation to support expectant mothers and protect the sanctity and dignity of human life," Blunt said. Once the program is fully operational, it should serve as a model for other states that want to support women with easy and confidential alternatives to abortion. We applaud Governor Blunt for thinking outside the box.
