Oklahoma OK!

Despite setbacks along the way, pro-lifers refused to give up on an Oklahoma ultrasound bill. This week, their persistence was rewarded. Members of the state legislature banded together and overrode the veto of Gov. Brad Henry (D) to enact a law that requires doctors to perform an ultrasound so that mothers can see their unborn babies at least an hour before their scheduled abortion. Thanks to the courage of these leaders, Oklahoma now joins 12 other states in helping to better inform women about the innocent life they carry.

Virginia Tech: One Year of Healing after the Tragedy
Aimee Herd (April 16, 2008)

"We're created for something more than just answers. We're created to experience God."

Mourners at V-Tech(Blacksburg, VA)—The mood of students on campus at Virginia Tech—described by Matt Rogers, leader of New Life Christian Fellowship—is apprehensive, as media and news trucks return to the University in Blacksburg, Virginia, a year after the worst school shooting in U.S. history.

According to Rogers, many of the young people have experienced some healing from the horrible memory of Seung-Hui Cho, a Hokie English major, opening fire on campus killing 32 students and faculty before ending his own life. But many are not looking forward to revisiting that pain and sorrow, stirred up by reporters' questions.

Rogers told the Religion News Service (RNS) that, at the time of the shooting, he and other ministry leaders went into "automatic ministry mode," fielding questions from grieving students about why God would allow such an attack.

"I knew God was good. My question was how to experience Him as good when life isn't. It wasn't hard being a pastor," said Rogers. "The only thing that was difficult was going from being a pastor in a normal setting to being surrounded by the media and having to respond with answers on the moment. It wasn't that I was doubting my faith. But how do I experience it rather than it just being in my head?"

"We're created for something more than just answers. We're created to experience God," Rogers added.

The day on campus has reportedly been set aside as a day of remembrance for those who were killed exactly a year ago, and a candlelight vigil is scheduled for Wednesday evening.

The Mercy Seat~ God give us another seat!

A couple years ago Justice Scalia was asked by some bound4LIFE prayer interns about his stand on abortion. His reply was basically... He would like to see the Court respond, but Where's the moral outcry in America?

When things seem hopeless, when the enemy comes in like a flood... God raises up a STANDARD AGAINST HIM! HISTORY BELONGS TO THE INTERCESSOR'S!!! There is beginning a groundswell for the RIGHTS OF THE UNBORN THAT NO ONE CAN STOP!!!
We are asking God for His mercy on this nation, and a third seat on the U.S. Supreme Court!
I LOOKED FOR A MAN WHO WOULD STAND IN THE GAP BEFORE ME & MAKE UP A HEDGE!

GO TO THE WALL! God increase intercession!!! WHEN GOD MOVES...MOVE WITH HIM!!! LET FAITH ARISE!!!

With God ...ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE~Glenn

Supreme Court Justice Scalia Tells Law Students the Right to an Abortion is Nowhere in the Constitution

Teresa Neumann (April 11, 2008)

Reporter's Two-Cents: Can't we then deduce that the very concept of abortion was utterly, repulsively anathema; so unthinkable that it was beyond our Founding Father's social and moral sensibilities? I think so. -Teresa Neumann, BCN.

Justice Antonin ScaliaThe Christian Post reports that during a visit to law students at Roger Williams University this week, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said that the right to an abortion exists nowhere in the U.S. constitution.

"The reality is the constitution doesn't address the subject at all,"he said, adding that the constitution is neither a liberal or conservative document, and is only meant to be interpreted as the original founding fathers intended.

Scalia also reportedly pointed out that the Senate, which confirmed him by a vote of 98-0 in 1986, would have difficulty confirming him today because constitutional "originalists"like himself were increasingly being abandoned in favor of justices who prescribe to single ideologies.

When LIFE tape is placed over our mouths, we are identifying with the silent screams of the unborn and of those who have no voice. Our stand is not a protest, but a silent prayer meeting. We make our appeal to the Judge of the earth and ask Him for speedy justice to be released.

Oh that God would subpoena the conscience of the nation!

The media has taken hold of this image and spread it everywhere. It has quickly become a phenomenon that catches the eyes and hearts of the world.

In our silence, we intercede on behalf of our nation and cry out to God for mercy. It is a silence that speaks louder than words. We must build up this wall! May our tears soak the sidewalks, and may a silent cry go forth all over our land!

An unborn child is not recognized as a victim with respect to violent crimes

Under current federal criminal law in Canada, an unborn child is not recognized as a victim with respect to violent crimes; This legislation would recognize unborn children as separate victims when they are injured or killed during commission of an offense against their mothers, allowing two charges to be laid against the offender instead of just one.

In the U.S. president Bush signed the Lacey & Conner Law. Our Canadian friends currently have this bill in progress.

Please pray that the Canadian Government would recognize the crime against two persons! ~Glenn

What will you do with this light?

by Matt LockettWe are all experiencing a dramatic development right now in the preaching of the Word. The Body of Christ is being exposed to the doctrine of shedding innocent blood at an unprecedented scale thanks to TheCall and God TV to name a few outlets. Tens of thousands are gathering in stadiums and living rooms around the globe to hear this mysterious truth revealed perhaps for the first time in their lives. This message is not a new one by any means, but it has been largely misunderstood and absent from our pulpits. It is not taught in seminary, yet it remains a basic truth that transcends both Old and New Testaments. It defies being dismissed simply as “an Old Testament thing” or something that doesn’t affect us anymore.

Without it there can be no strong case made for the immediate urgency for ending abortion. Without it abortion never rises beyond being an “issue” allocated to the extreme right wing of the Church.

But that’s changing.

First let me say that’s very sobering. Judgment isn’t based on the level of wrongdoing so much as it reflects the light God has given us. That means once we’ve heard the truth of bloodguilt, we are then held responsible for it. The message of Matthew 12:38-45 has to do with an entire generation being judged based on what they did with the light given them. Jesus said that the men of Nineveh and the Queen of Sheba will rise up at the judgment and condemn an entire generation that rejected him.

What will it mean for our generation when God moves to set the captives of the womb free? If we continue to reject His light, then no excuse or alibi will remain. He will be completely justified as He was in the 1860’s. Abraham Lincoln understood this when he said,

“Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue . . . until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said “the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”

Isn’t it interesting that the Civil War was immediately preceded by the Second Great Awakening? God revealed Himself in greater dimensions, and with it came the exposing of His heart regarding slavery. Lincoln understood the times and seasons of his day knowing the importance of preserving the union at that critical moment. This generation is in a similar moment, and the future of the nation hangs in the balance.

But God is raising up deliverers right now. Be encouraged because Deliverers can mean only one thing–God intends to act. Rees Howells said that, “God Himself had declared war on Nazi Germany.” I believe that God Himself is moving to end abortion.

So this moment in time holds both a great question and opportunity. What will we do with the light that we have been given? Will the Church respond to truth, or will we turn away from this stark spotlight? Will we experience a dramatic turn like the people of Nineveh did, or will we be held responsible for the cumulative shed blood of the innocent like the generation Jesus rebuked in Luke 11?

47 “Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, and it was your forefathers who killed them. 48 So you testify that you approve of what your forefathers did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs. 49 Because of this, God in his wisdom said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’ 50 Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world, 51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all. 52 “Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.” (Lk 11:47-52 NIV)

As Reverend King said, "The church must be reminded
that it is not the master or the servant of the state, but
rather the conscience of the state. It must be the guide
and the critic of the state. If the church does not
recapture its prophetic zeal, it will become an irrelevant
social club without moral or spiritual authority."

It is time for America to see the church as an unbiased
representative of Christ. As a nation, we must rally
behind clear-thinking, visionary leaders who will work
for a nation that is both colorblind and infused with
character.

Reconciliation Referendum

In recent weeks, there has been a national debate about the appropriateness of sermons preached by Dr. Jeremiah Wright from the pulpit of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. Two weeks ago the controversy led Senator Barak Obama to deliver an important speech on race in America.

Opinion leaders in the national media praised the speech as courageous, but the notion that simply more talk is needed will no longer suffice. While politicians like Barack Obama and the national media wring their hands over a problem that has persisted in this country for nearly 400 years, they offer no solutions to the problem.

The tragedy of this most recent revelation of America’s racial divide is that incendiary remarks by Rev. Wright were delivered in a church, at the pulpit, by a pastor of a Christian church. If there is one that can and is healing the racial wounds of American it is the Church. However, this latest incident underscores the lack of progress and the urgent need for a deliberate and coordinated effort among Christian pastors and spiritual leaders in America to lead the nation in racial reconciliation.

The failure of good Christian people to provide a clear and convincing example of racial unity within the Church has contributed to the divide between the races in the nation and it only appears to be widening.

We must recognize that racism is not just a social problem in America; it is also a spiritual problem. It is a matter of the heart. Healing racism in the nation is, therefore, a challenge facing our country that must first be addressed in and by the Church. We believe that contrary to what Americans have seen in the last few weeks, the Church can and must help lead the nation toward reconciliation among the races.

This diagnosis of the nature of racism in the US is in keeping with the clear teaching of Scripture. Jesus prayed that His followers would be united. He also said in John 17:21 that the world would believe His mission and message because of the unity of His followers.

A racially reconciled church can eventually unite the nation. Evangelical churches are especially prepared to seize this strategic moment in American history because of their shared theology and value system.

The basis of our action is an empowerment theology that is based upon the Scriptures. In contrast, liberation theology as preached by people like Rev. Wright, if taken to extreme, can fan the flames of class struggles and racial prejudice.

Many churches have already done a great deal to solve this problem, but there will be dire consequences if the racial tensions of the nation are not addressed. Just 16 years ago, on April 29, 1992, a major race riot sent shock waves from Los Angeles around the world. Seven hundred million dollars of property damage, 13,212 arrests, 2,383 human injuries, and 54 deaths lay in the wake of an initial lower court verdict concerning the beating of Rodney King by four LA policemen.

We believe that a repeat of that riot is possible today. The protagonists may be black, white, or Hispanic but the danger of unresolved race based anger deserves a national “intervention” by the Church.

There is no time to waste.

It is time for America to see the Church as an unbiased representative of Christ. We want to commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by announcing this Reconciliation Referendum on April 4, 2008- the 40th anniversary of his assassination. Over 40 leading ministers - 20 whites and 20 blacks - have made a commitment to bring racial reconciliation to our nation within the next decade. We collectively make a commitment to take the following intentional and purposeful steps to begin the healing:

1. Pray for racial healing and spiritual awakening in America.

2. Strategically evangelize across racial boundaries.

3. Conduct pulpit exchanges in our communities or regions which congregations of different racial majorities.

4. Commemorate the contributions of Christian blacks, Hispanics and other racial minorities to both the Church and the nation through black history month and other dates of multi-racial and cultural significance.

5. Develop cross-cultural leadership within our local ministries, including spiritual and administrative positions.

6. Recognize that Biblical justice is a part of our social mandate.

7. Develop trans-denominational approaches to address domestic poverty.

What about practical solutions for non- churched people? In our book Personal faith, Public Policy we give a visionary game plan for a racially reconciled Church to serve the entire nation. As the Church unifies, there are many specific public policy initiatives we can introduce in order to create a greater atmosphere of Biblical justice in our land.

We are calling for all Bible believing Christians to accept this Reconciliation Referendum and become proactive healing agents in this nation.

Caught on Tape: New Evidence of Racism at Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood's facade as a compassionate, women's health advocate continues to crumble. Lila Rose, the UCLA student who released recordings of Planned Parenthood employees expressing "excitement" over racially-motivated donations, has new proof of the organization's deep-seated bigotry. This time, fellow student James O'Keefe called clinics in Oklahoma and New Mexico asking to make a donation specifically for the abortion of a black baby. After railing on about his disgust with affirmative action and the need "for less black people," he was told by Irene Grey of Planned Parenthood, Albuquerque, "Yes, yes, it's a strange time to be sure." Over in Tulsa, the response was no different. In this instance, Planned Parenthood employee Susan Riggs said, "We can definitely designate [a gift] for an African-American" when asked whether his money would be earmarked for the abortion of a black baby. Tell Starbucks to Stop Supporting Abortion!

What if every soul on the planet who claimed to be pro-life gave all Starbucks products for 1 year. Just one year, what would that do to the sales of Starbucks, what would that do to Howard Schultz's pocket book.
This is an interesting experiment. For those who want to stop wishing death on the unborn would stand up and say "No more tall half-caf sugar free lattes" God knows there are plenty of coffee companies in this nations. I'd like to see Starbucks stock go down, I'm not trying to run them out of business but what if we simply did a Starbucks fast for 1 year, so that they would consider pulling funding from PPFA.

No Starbucks for a Year, Pro-LIFERS

Starbucks gives profit sharing every year to Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the United States with 780 clinics around the country.

Michael Bain (Bismarck, ND) wrote
at 10:36pm yesterday
I think 12% might be a bit of an overstatement if somebody could correct me I'd appreciate it. I know they match their employees gifts to PPFA and I know the matching has been in the multi-millions in the last few years, according to the Annual Financial Reports that PPFA is required to put out.
Anyway 1% or 100% why are we marketing death in this country?

Contact Howard Schultz, Chairman of Starbucks and tell him you don't want your money to go to the Abortion Holocaust.

For some... this could be a more true fast than a Daniel fast! Oh..it hurts!!!!!~Glenn
