Bill to Ban Abortion Passes in South Dakota Senate - Historic Legislation Now Goes to Governor Rounds for Signing

The Christian Newswire, yesterday, reported that the legislation to ban abortion in South Dakota passed in the state Senate, after a similar bill easily passed in the House. The measure will now go to South Dakota Governor Rounds to be signed into law.

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, director for the Christian Defense Coalition, commented, "We applaud the courage of the South Dakota legislature in voting to ban abortion and end this tragic violence against women and children. With several states waiting in the wings to ban abortion, momentum is clearly building nationwide to overturn Roe.
