Abortions At Lowest Level In Years
MyFox St. Louis | Abortions At Lowest Level In Years
If there is one word that can immediately start an argument in any group of people, it's abortion. But an interesting trend is showing up: the number of abortions is at the lowest level since the Supreme Court made it legal....http://www.myfoxstl.com/myfox/pages...

Will You plead the cause of the innocent?
"[She said] they're going to induce your labor. You will birth the child. It's going to be a very hard procedure for you," the pro-lifer relates.
Hawkins says she asked twice if the baby might be born alive. "And she said mostly no, but sometimes it can happen -- but eventually the baby will die, without giving him any medical treatment."
That violates the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, says Hawkins, which calls for medical treatment if a baby is born alive during an abortion.
But there has been no enforcement!

IT'S NOT A PROTEST ... IT'S A PRAYER MEETING!
Join us WEDNESDAYS
SEPT. 24th.,
OCT. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
at 23 Mansfield Ave. Burlington for a SILENT PRAYER SIEGE on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves & let's end the silence of the church.
We have the answer!
But are we too busy??
As the CHURCH goes... SO GOES SOCIETY!
We will be asking our Heavenly Father to release the unborn from the waterless places in America. They deserve to live out the dreams that the Heavenly Father has dreamt for them!
Now is the appointed time (through prayer) for the deceptions, lies & cover-ups of the abortion industry to be EXPOSED! The blinders over the minds of women in our region WILL be removed!
What's wrong with women being able to hear the truth b-4 considering their CHOICES! This should be required legislatively & it begins legislatively in the spirit!
Join us from 7am-9:15am and
be a DELIVERER!
2 weeks ago...Although the mother & her (pregnant?) daughter didn't want to speak with me. (I think the younger one had already started a procedure & was on a break waiting)...I left a brochure on the ground on the public grass...when I walked away and around the corner... I saw that the older lady had picked up & was reading the abortion alternative brochure. How will they really know unless we tell them. We can help them to make the right decisions to save a precious little ones life!
A month ago, while at the P.P.... I could feel the pain of a young man & his father as they toked a joint to medicate themselves from the reality of their loved one inside who was carrying out a CHOICE to end the life of their offspring. Who will stand in the gap on behalf of them & many more in our region who need someone? to steer them the right way so they may receive healing, wholeness & release from their guilt?? ~Glenn
What can wash away my (our) sins?... nothing but the blood of Jesus!
Please let me know if you will join us...if you can, or just come by. We will be continuing these Silent Prayer Sieges on Wed. mornings & may also move in the future to the N.N.E.P.P. headquarters on Talcott Rd., Williston. This is the home base for VT, NH & ME.
But for now we'll be at 23 Mansfield Ave. Burlington.
We will also be praying for the 40 Days For Life campaign which begins Sept 23 at 6pm with a Celebrate life rally kick-off, and goes 7am -7pm till Nov 2nd!
Find out more information (upcoming over the next week on the website) and mark your calendars to join us by signing up for 1 hour slots or more of prayer as you can join the community of believers believing this is the appointed hour for change Nationally & locally over this abortion issue!

"We also need to make adoption a lot easier in this country," Senator McCain said. "That's why so many people now go to other countries to adopt children."
Senator McCain then explained how he and his wife Cindy had an adopted daughter. He told how his wife, Mrs. Cindy McCain had gone to Dhaka, in Bangladesh, 17 years ago to visit with Mother Theresa. He said that Mother Theresa's nuns gave her two little baby girls that were not going to live, if they stayed in that environment.
"Cindy came home. I met her at the airport and she showed me this 5 week old baby and said, 'meet your new daughter.' Today she is 17 and our life is blessed," Senator McCain said.

U.S. House of Representatives Issues Unprecedented Apology to African-Americans
"We face up to our mistakes and apologize as anyone should apologize for things that were done in the past that were wrong."
(Washington, D.C.)—The U.S. House of Representatives has issued an unprecedented apology to black Americans for slavery and Jim Crow segregation laws. It reportedly says that Africans forced into slavery "were brutalized, humiliated, dehumanized and subjected to the indignity of being stripped of their names and heritage."
Today represents a milestone in our nation's efforts to remedy the ills of our past," said Rep. Carolyn Cheeks, chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus. (Photo: AP)
"Slavery and Jim Crow are stains upon what is the greatest nation on the face of the earth," said lawmaker Steve Cohen. Part of forming a more perfect union, "is such a resolution as we have before us today where we face up to our mistakes and apologize as anyone should apologize for things that were done in the past that were wrong....(more)
Read "another milestone" on the blog of Matt Lockett.
The Senate passed a Native American Apology (authored by Senator Sam Brownback) in February of this year... These two apologies are Big! They are two of our nations, 3 major "bloodguilts" of the killing of innocents that have fueled the demonic in this nation.
I wonder how long b4 the official apology for unjust abortion laws??? What a day that will be!!! ~Glenn

Great News...Celebrate by praying through!!!
Heroic efforts of pro-lifers have turned the dream of an abortion-free state into reality.
(Sioux Falls, SD)—On Monday, July 21, eight women arrived at the Planned Parenthood office in Sioux Falls abortions but were instead met with locked doors and a hand-written note indicating the only abortion clinic in South Dakota was closed.Planned Parenthood remains closed for abortions after their abortionists, who are flown in from other states, refused to work under the new law that went into effect last Friday. The law orders abortionists to inform patients of the humanity of their babies and that the procedure could affect their mental health two hours before the abortion can be done. The law also provides that abortionists can be sued if they do not comply.
This law was the brain-child of attorney Harold Cassidy and passed with the help of determined pro- life leaders Dr. Alan and Leslee Unruh, who pushed for the regulation in the face of opposition even from those in the pro-life movement. The Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals cleared the way for the law's enactment last week.
It remains unclear if the Planned Parenthood office has permanently ceased the practice of abortion. However, several women who were scheduled for abortions this week went to a pro-life center instead where some have reportedly changed their minds about having abortions.
"The closing of this clinic is historic in that South Dakota is, for the time being, the first abortion-free state," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "It didn't take the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and it didn't take a new President or a new Supreme Court. It took the courageous determination of pro-life heroes like Mr. Cassidy and the Unruhs who saw an opportunity to save lives and pressed on until their dream became victory."
"We applaud their efforts and encourage other states to emulate their campaign," said Newman.
The Unruhs are currently involved in the Vote Yes For Life Campaign, which would effectively ban abortions in South Dakota, putting the finishing nail in the coffin of the abortion industry there.
For the text of the new law and links to the court decision can be found here.

Executive Director of Bound4Life Intl.
Two of our intercessors from the local chapter in Sioux Falls were in front of Planned Parenthood early to pray that morning. There was no one else there except the two of them. At about 8:15 AM the first abortion appointment arrived, but the front door remained locked. There was a note on the door that read "We will be closing at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 21, 2008."
The young lady then walked out to the sidewalk and asked our chapter leader when the clinic would be open. There was an emotional conversation as our chapter leader pleaded with the young woman to not have an abortion. Five appointments came and went during their Silent Siege, and all of them were forced to leave since the clinic never opened that day... regardless of the fact that there were two employee cars in the parking lot.
I wanted to give you all a rundown of the facts so you can better process what is being reported in the media. Some are reporting that the doctors are protesting the law... that is speculation. Some are reporting that the lawyers are holding things up while they seek a way to sidestep the law. That too is a speculation; albeit a likely one. Some are calling South Dakota "abortion free." That's a wildly inaccurate statement at this point.
My point is this: when everyone is busy doing other things, our job is to continue praying. I thank God that when things were cooking Monday morning, a small team of intercessors (only 2!) was there to pray. In fact, none of the current media coverage would have existed had not two Bound4LIFEers been on-site praying. Nobody else was there. It can be very damaging in the grand scheme of things if the reports of an "abortion free" state cause us to stop praying long enough for a premature victory lap. Now is NOT the time to stop praying. Now is the time to press in. Be encouraged by what is transpiring, but do not let it take you off the line. HOLD THIS LINE AT ALL COSTS! The goal of a siege is to cut off the lines of supply and cause the city to fall. In this case, it could be that the supply line of doctors is being cut off. Pray that that's true.
Thankful and determined,
Matt Lockett

Planned Parenthood fails to open doors in South Dakota
worldnetdaily.com — 'I think they cannot figure out a way not to comply with law' - A state law that requires abortionists to inform women – before an abortion – that the procedure "will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being" apparently has done what no other pro-life protest has been able to accomplish – the closure of Planned Parenthood.
The law took effect because the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals recently overturned an injunction that had stopped its implementation.
It was a 7-4 ruling that lifted the injunction against the South Dakota informed consent abortion law. Attorneys representing the Alliance Defense Fund filed a friend-of-the-court brief on behalf of the Family Research Council in defense of the law.
The court said U.S. Supreme Court rulings allow a state to "use its regulatory authority to require a physician to provide truthful, non-misleading information relevant to a patient's decision to have an abortion, even if that information might also encourage the patient to choose childbirth over abortion."Thanks to WorldNetDaily for excerpts of this fantastic & informative news!

Human Life Amendment Signatures Certified – Historic Amendment Officially on November's Ballot

Denver, Colorado – May 29, 2008 – For the first time in US history, the issue of personhood will be decided in the public forum by a constitutional amendment. The Secretary of State's Office's random sampling indicated that there were 103,377 valid signatures, surpassing the 76,047 valid signatures that were required.
"The people of Colorado have spoken, the Secretary of State's Office has certified our signatures, and our equal rights amendment will be on November's ballot," stated Kristi Burton, initiative sponsor. Rep. Smith, Did you say $335,000,000?
Thank you Rep. Smith of NJ for speaking on behalf of the unborn! ~ Glenn
This is what Representative Chris Smith, who organized the Special Order, said in his speech Wednesday night:
"Can we trust Planned Parenthood? They say their vision is to be the Nation's most trusted provider of sexual and reproductive health care. This is from an organization that targets minorities, that performs millions of abortions and barely even attempts to help women carry the babies to term. Reproductive health should include, not exclude, babies."Even if the U.S. should pay for family planning, why should we subsidize the abortion industry?
This debate is not about family planning, it's about using abortion as a means of population control.

Nature's Miracle Substance: Umbilical Cord Blood
It does not involve the killing of human embryos, and it has been used to treat over 60 diseases, including Leukemia, Sickle Cell Anemia and blood cancers. Umbilical cord blood contains wonder-working stem cells. But all too often this "miracle substance" is simply disposed of.
According to Dr. Elizabeth Shpall, head of the M.D. Anderson Cord Blood Bank, it is still a "vast majority" of women who do not realize what they are allowing to be thrown away when they don't allocate their newborn's umbilical cord blood to be donated.
Yet, this wonderfully stem-cell-rich substance has been used to successfully treat so many diseases. (Photo: ABC News)
Many pregnant women are simply not aware of the medical value and the opportunity for treatments that can come from donating the cord blood when their baby is born.
The fact is, umbilical cord blood could be the perfect, ethical alternative to using embryonic stem cells (which haven't really worked in trials anyway). Cord blood does not involve the killing of human embryos, and it has been used to treat over 60 diseases, including Leukemia, Sickle Cell Anemia and blood cancers. Umbilical cord blood contains wonder-working stem cells. But all too often this amazing substance is simply disposed of.
Calling cord blood a "medical miracle," Dr. Robert Jones, head of the New York Blood Center, noted that cord blood "has the same kinds of stem cells that are in bone marrow and can, in fact, substitute for bone marrow…for a patient who needs a bone marrow transplant."
According to the ABC News report, "As many as 10-thousand Americans each year could benefit from donated cord blood, but there is such a shortage that many will die waiting."

You are NOT TOO YOUNG!!
Amendment Takes on Life of Its Own
A young pro-life activist is giving the state's pro-lifers a reason to hope. Kristi Burton, an energetic 20-year-old Coloradan, didn't let her age stand in the way of launching a statewide "personhood" campaign. Last week, her efforts were rewarded on a ballot initiative that would define human beings as "persons" from the moment of conception.

Pro-Life Drugstores Rely on Large Doses of Conviction
In an era when faith can be a professional liability, a new trend in pharmacies is championing conscience. Pro-life drugstores are cropping up across the country to counter the growing pressure in the medical community to surrender religious and moral conviction in patient care. These pharmacies will resemble their counterparts with one major exception; they will not stock contraception or pill regimens like Plan B that can act as abortifacients. As states like Washington, California, New Jersey, and Illinois outlaw "conscience exemptions" for pharmacists, these pro-life drugstores may be the wave of the future. Although some decry the pharmacies as discriminatory, it is well within the proprietors' rights to adhere to a higher moral code than political correctness. If customers don't like it, they are free to take their business elsewhere. A spokeswoman for the National Women's Law Center claims that "[c]ontraception is essential for women's health... [This idea] could endanger women's health." On the contrary, what endangers women's health is the propaganda by Planned Parenthood and others that insists "emergency contraception" is safe, when it can and has caused serious side effects. The lack of contraception isn't killing any woman. Sexual promiscuity, on the other hand, is. We commend these drugstores for creating a safe environment for employees and consumers of moral and religious conviction.

Colorado for Equal Rights is a statewide grassroots organization of concerned citizens who value human life. Colorado for Equal Rights is sponsoring the Human Life Amendment to the Colorado constitution, stating "the term 'Person' or 'Persons' shall include any human from the time of fertilization."

The Call DC: August 16th...More than an historical event!
TheCall DC 2000 was the corresponding prayer & fasting event for young people... to the Promise Keepers men's event on the Washington Mall in 1997!
TheCall DC 2008 event is actually a multi-generational meeting and will be the fulfillment of a dream!!!
I was there with men of my church at that '97 PK event.
We looked at the day as an Historic Happening...a day of reconsecration & hope for fathers heart's to become realigned with our Heavenly Fathers heart. Looking back there was much excitement of an historic event... a million men of differing nationalities & denominations... rather than a day to rend our hearts! However, I believe the prayers & worship & commitment that was birthed there may have saved our nation more than any of us may realize at this time!
There have been many Call prayer events throughout this and other nations... but they have been leading up to this prophetic moment.
I ask with others ... "Can a Nation be changed in one day"?
Please consider being on The Mall on August 16!
Not for an historic event... but to join a company crying out for our nation to return to the Lord, the ending of abortion & godly government & for historical revival to come our nation!!! ~Glenn
